So for starters im terrified of anything dental related. The whole experience was maybe an hour and a half tops. Staff was friendly and DR. Mickens was professional and took the time to explain what he was looking at and what the game plan would be for me. Told me what he was going to do prior to doing it. He was amazing and put me a ease.cant say enough good about this place

I had the "unfortunate" pleasure of having Dr. Mickens perform a root canal on me. I let my tooth get too bad and it ended up rotting underneath the filling and while it was a nerve racking experience leading up to having the Root canal done by Dr. Mickens, he was amazing while having the procedure done. He explained everything he was doing as he was doing them and made sure to check on me after every noise I made. Thankfully the tooth was pretty much dead so I felt was pressure after the local anesthesia. I would highly recommend having him do your root canal!

I first saw Dr. Mickens in 2016 for a root canal, and the work was excellent. Years later, the tooth became infected due to a poorly placed crown by another dentist. I returned to Dr. Mickens for re-treatment on this tooth. He told me that it would take time to heal, but that it was possible to save it. When I was told the only option was extraction, I decided to call his office for a second opinion and his kind receptionist scheduled me to come in the same day for an x-ray. To both of our amazement, the root canal had completely healed! No extraction needed. Dr. Mickens is skilled, thorough, and honest, and his staff is kind and welcoming. If you want an endodontist who knows what he’s doing and doesn’t rush you toward unnecessary procedures, this is the place. Best in GSO, hands down!

Wonderful!! Talked me through the whole process. He made me feel important and not just another procedure. I dreaded the appt. Because it was a root canal. No worries!! He and his staff were great! Guess what! He actually called me the next day to check on me!! Highly!!!!! Recommend!

This was the best experience I have EVER had getting any dental work done!!!! Dr Mickens is the absolute best I cannot figure out why there are any bad reviews on this man. He is amazing if I could give him 100 stars I would. He makes you feel extremely comfortable he talks to you through the whole procedure. He is super friendly. It was just an all-around great experience!!!!!
